Summary:
The Solution Architect is primarily responsible for liaising with clients to capture and translate customer business and technical requirements into a working business system solution utilizing DXC Assure software products.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Engage with Customer SME’s in workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and solution objectives.
2. Liaise with client SME’s on engagements from a functional/technical delivery perspective
3. Translate detailed business requirements into working software solutions using DXC Assure software products and configuration tools.
4. Ability to support project team members and customer SME’s on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit customer solutions based on knowledge of DXC Assure software Products
5. Adhere to and contribute to the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of DXC Assure software products
6. Create and update complex solution configuration on the DXC Assure Software products including configuration of the following:Rating algorithms and referral processingUnderwriting, Claims and business rulesBusiness Process workflow rulesStored procedures, database triggers, indexes, and other database artefactsReference data creation and maintenanceProduct building including the implementation of dynamic logic, validations & workflow rulesEnquiries / Data Extraction / Reports / Documents
7. Work collaboratively with the client and DXC project teams to drive delivery of the agreed solution
8. Software configuration / Solution testing/validation/issue resolution
9. Confidently demonstrate DXC Assure product solutions in new client engagements
10. Participate in internal quality reviews of solution delivery processes
11. Prepare functional and technical solution documentation
12. Provide inputs to project work estimates
13. Contribute to the process of transitioning completed projects into support
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
14. Insurance domain expertise – Lloyds and Company market knowledge preferably with experience of Broker, Carrier, Syndicate and MGA operations
15. Insurance system knowledge covering underwriting, claims, accounts, and re-insurance
16. Experienced in the configuration of web-based Policy Administration/Claims Systems
17. Strong SQL skills including the ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures
18. Knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based solutions
19. Knowledge in the use of SOAP & REST based API’s
20. A detailed understanding of the full project life cycle
21. Have demonstrated a working knowledge of the following concepts/skills:Agile / Scrum / WaterfallProcess Mapping (current and future state)Data flow diagrams (current and future state)Entity relationship mapping
22. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
23. Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
24. A high level of attention to detail with strong documentation skills
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
25. Experience/knowledge of configuring DXC Assure Software products
26. Experience of projects delivering cloud-based managed service solutions
27. Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON
28. Prepared to travel when required
29. Ability to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones
