My client is a stunning independent hotel seeking to expand their Front Office team by hiring a passionate and determined Front Desk Manager to support and assist the Front Office Manager in the operation of the front desk.
Recently becoming independent, my client is an exciting project with plans to grow and expand their business, offering opportunities for employees to develop both personally and professionally.
Responsibilities of the Front Desk Manager include:
1. Liaising with the Front Office Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure all hotel policies are followed by the team.
2. Overseeing all front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, guest inquiries, and reservations.
3. Training, mentoring, and managing front desk staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
4. Handling guest concerns and complaints promptly and effectively, aiming for guest satisfaction.
5. Maintaining accurate records and reports related to front desk activities, such as occupancy rates, room availability, and guest preferences.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and efficient hotel operations.
Ideal candidate qualities include:
1. Previous managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
2. Experience in a front desk or guest services role within hospitality.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
5. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
6. Experience with the Opera system is preferred.
Salary: £28,000 per annum (approximate, subject to change)
Schedule: 40 hours per week
