Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Coventry (5 days in the office)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for our employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will play a key part in maintaining employee records and supporting the HR and finance teams with payroll-related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing Payroll: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of the monthly payroll for all employees.
2. Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and amendments.
3. Payroll Queries: Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing support and resolving any issues efficiently.
4. Tax and Deduction Management: Ensure all tax and national insurance deductions are applied correctly, and any changes are reflected in payroll.
5. Statutory Payments: Administer statutory payments, including sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and holiday pay.
6. Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management and government bodies (e.g., HMRC).
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including pension contributions, tax codes, and employment laws.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll data is consistent and accurate.
9. General Administration: Assist with any ad-hoc administrative tasks related to payroll and employee benefits.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements (e.g., PAYE, NI contributions, pensions).
3. Familiarity with payroll software and systems (experience with [specific payroll software] is a plus).
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
6. Effective communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
