We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week and take our sustainability and water neutrality solutions to the next level.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will create sales opportunities for our innovative water sustainability solutions with Local Authorities, property developers, and key stakeholders facing water neutrality challenges.
This is a critical role for our organisation where you will bring expertise in-house and ensure we have the capabilities to deliver innovative solutions to a wide range of clients.
Specifically, you will drive business growth by securing contracts, managing client relationships, and expanding our water efficiency solutions. Involved in the full sales cycle, you will oversee sales, account management and strategic networking to expand our client base, encouraging repeat purchases.
You will also develop high-value proposals, support funding applications, and manage bids to secure new projects, while also occasionally travelling to networking events or client meetings nationwide.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist in producing high-quality tender responses
- Plan, contribute to, and manage lead-generation efforts
- Develop project plans, ensuring adherence to quality and sustainability standards
- Manage and update the sales pipeline
- Support delivery and finance teams
About You
To be considered as a Business Development Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience and success in a sales, business development, or client-facing role (preferably at least three years) within the sustainability, environmental, or water management sectors
- Bid writing experience and strong commercial acumen
- Experience in writing high-quality project proposals
- Experience working with local government departments, such as planning, to support environmental strategic goals
- Strong knowledge of water neutrality, water efficiency solutions, and sustainability best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex proposals
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- A self-driven, enthusiastic, and resilient approach
