PRU Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Duration: Full time, ongoing
Salary: £75 – £85 per day
The School/Role:
I am working with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Birmingham that is seeking passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their team. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.
The candidate for this role will be experienced supporting children with a range of different academic attainment levels. It is essential that these students have a PRU Teaching Assistant to act as a positive role model, as well as possess good academic knowledge to provide lesson support. This will require patience, commitment, and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Requirements:
1. Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
2. PECS and Makaton training/experience
3. Experience with ASD, SEMH, Non-verbal, PMLD, MLD, and visual impairment needs
4. Level 1 safeguarding certificate
5. Recent school-based references
6. Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
7. Full DBS – on the update service
