Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner
Ridgeway Family Practice are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our large and busy team.
The ANP / ACP's core role responsibilities will be to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice.
You will be working with a complement of other health care professionals including GP's, Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Nurses and our team of excellent Practice Nurses, HCAs and Paramedic Practitioners.
Our ANPs offer some limited morning clinical triage sessions with a maximum of 24 appointment slots and morning and afternoon sessions of 15 patient face-to-face appointments. Other areas of specialism / responsibility to be discussed but examples include mentoring and QOF area responsibility (e.g. Heart Failure). Hours of work are flexible within the usual practice operating hours of weekdays, 8am to 6.30pm.
Main duties of the job
You should have the following:
* RGN/RN with current NMC registration
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* MSc or working towards this level
* Willingness to work towards professional and performance objectives

Ridgeway View Family Practice is a busy general practice based across two sites in Wroughton and Chiseldon. We are a large and busy team and offer a stimulating and welcoming environment. We are part of Brunel Healthcare Group and Brunel PCN 1, working with other practices across the local area.

Job responsibilities
PRINCIPLE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. To be responsible for clinical triage / minor illness telephone sessions on some mornings.
2. You will be responsible for the autonomous clinical assessment of patients booked into your sessions and working with the team to manage their onwards care.
3. To utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients within your scope of practice.
4. Providing a quality service, excellence in clinical practice and continuous professional development are integral to the role and the development of the service.
5. To engage with the wider teams to ensure that you become an integral part of our whole practice team.
6. Management of risk and health & safety.
7. Mentoring of students, if appropriate.
8. Ongoing learning and development as required.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in a GP Practice.
* Experience of System One Clinical system.
Qualifications
* RGN/RN with current NMC registration.
* Independent prescriber.
* MSc Advanced Clinical Practice.
