Job overview
We are recruiting for a Rota Co-ordinator & NELA Coordinator who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. Our busy General & Vascular Surgery Team is looking for a highly organised administrator to manage our doctors’ rotas.
You will be responsible for coordinating the administration of the medical staffing within the General & Vascular Surgery department, ensuring all sickness, annual leave, study leave, and special leave for medical staff is identified and mitigated while working alongside our friendly team of Consultants, Registrars, SHOs, and Operational team.
You will be encouraged to improve or devise processes and pathways to ensure rota management is efficient, standardised, and streamlined. You will also be responsible for coordinating the NELA data from all emergency laparotomy patients by liaising between surgical ward, surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatres. The post holder will be encouraged to improve or devise processes and pathways to standardize the capture of NELA data within the trust.

Main duties of the job
1. Ensure that the General Surgery department complies with all electronic rostering (e.g., Medirota) systems and processes.
2. Maintain operational staffing functions associated with eRostering and all associated systems and processes.
3. Undertake all administrative changes required to the system.
4. Provide first line support to system users.
5. Provide technical support, answering support queries either via phone, email, or face to face.
