Junior Sister/Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

The Acute Adult Care Division is one of four Clinical Divisions in the Trust that includes Emergency Care, Complex Care and Specialist Medicine. The Division contains the busiest single site Emergency Department in Greater Manchester and has inpatient wards providing acute medicine, rehabilitation and specialist medicine services. It provides a range of specialist out-patient and community services and is committed to providing excellent clinical performance and patient care.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for Junior Sister / Charge Nurse post within the Emergency Department of the Acute Adult Care Division of the Trust. We have an excellent team of healthcare professionals dedicated to Emergency Care provision for the local community. We are looking for motivated experienced A&E Junior Sisters/Charge Nurses to work in our busy department, following our trust values of "Vision, Openness, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence". The Department has an excellent Training and development programme, with competency based profiles to cover all areas of the department.
Job responsibilities
Candidates must have significant A&E experience.
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be expected to promote the delivery of a high standard of patient centred care in a supported environment. You will already have current Emergency Department experience and are looking towards your next step. Potential candidates should possess a Degree in Adult nursing, ALS certification, evidence of recent professional development and change management experience. Potential candidates must possess good leadership skills and be committed to high professional standards within an evidence based framework. This post will allow you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills further whilst driving the quality of care forward.
Please note; we will consider applications from staff who have been unable to attend an ALS course, on the provision that the successful applicant has a secured booking on the course within the next six months.
