P&O Ferries are looking to recruit a number of Port Operatives based in Hull
In this role you will support the management team to deliver cost effective port operations to both internal and external customers and you will be responsible for assisting with the ships departing consistently on time or earlier.
Location: Hull, this role will involve shifts including weekends, days or nights and you will be working outside in a wide range of weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* To discharge and load RoRo cargo in a safe and efficient manner, working to ensure optimal capacity.
* To secure and unsecure cargo onboard vessels in a controlled, timely and safe manner to ensure that all lashing equipment is correctly stowed.
* Marshalling of accompanied vehicles in a safe manner.
* Delivery and collection of passenger baggage to and from vessels.
* To have proven experience in driving RoRo Tractors AND/OR the aptitude to pass in-house training.
* Hold a full clean driving licence.
* Have a level of understanding of Health and Safety.
* Desirable not essential – previous experience of working in a port operation environment.
* Desirable not essential – HGV Class 1 Licence.
