The Role
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will manage a defined caseload, using evidence-based practice and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.
The post holder is expected to develop relevant clinical skills, knowledge and experience without direct supervision.
As a rotational occupational therapist in NHS Lanarkshire, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across a number of acute and community rotations including:
* Surgical
* Care of the Elderly
* Medical
* A&E/acute medical receiving
* Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics
* Acute Stroke
* Community Rehabilitation Teams
* Brain Injury
* Rheumatology
* Vascular
* Hand Therapy

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
* Knowledge of the application of the theory underpinning OT practice
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using their own initiative
* Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have:
* OT Practice Education course
* Further Education and CPD in relation to the post including relevant projects and research studies
* Practice Education experience relevant to the post
* Previous voluntary or employment experience or research proposal/project relevant to the post
* Basic knowledge of legislation, policy, and procedures which impact on practice
* Supervision and appraisal skills
* Positive role modelling and leadership skills
* Flexible working patterns to meet the requirements of the post
* A full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
