Are you a Test Analyst with a background in Data? Or maybe you work in Data and would like to move into the testing world? If so, we’ve got the ideal opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Test Analyst to join us on a 12m FTC.
You will be part of the Test Team, responsible for the daily Testing Practices within M&B in accordance with the Testing Schedules as directed by the Test Lead. We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of integrations, interfaces, maintaining data quality and integrity throughout the overall solution.
We have an exciting project evolving our guest data strategy and as such will be implementing new tools; customer data platform, campaign management and consent management platform. Experience with CRM would be desirable for us.

This is a hybrid working role with a mixture of home working and office days based at our Birmingham City Centre head office.

What will I be doing?
* Fully understand and comply with the Mitchells & Butlers Testing Methodology and Processes.
* Responsible for the creation of the Test Strategy and the testing approach to ensure a quality solution is delivered.
* Responsible for ensuring that all Data Integration and End to End testing for the project is executed, recorded and evidence stored to allow sign off within the agreed framework to be completed.
* Fully understand and comply with the Mitchells & Butlers data quality processes for issue identification and resolution, working with the Data Governance team to focus on critical data elements and ensure testing meets the required thresholds, and to highlight and log any other data quality issues.
* Day to day working as part of the Testing Team.
* Stakeholder management and working with vendors and 3rd parties.
* Carry out appropriate release testing tasks as scheduled.
* Prepare Testing Deliverables for review by Peers and Test Lead/Manager.
What do I need?
* Knowledge of structured test methods and processes as part of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Experience testing CRM, customer data platforms, marketing automation tools, consent and preference management platforms in a multi-branded organisation.
* Proven experience of Data integration testing across multiple platforms in an Agile Testing environment.
* Knowledge of Database systems, data flows and data quality processes.
* Experience of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) with the use of Events, Json, XML and Flat files.
* Experience of guiding and overseeing 3rd party testing.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Meticulous and high attention to detail.
* Self-starter and the ability to work on own initiative and within a team and able to prioritise workload.
* Preparing concise and accurate test documentation.
* Proven experience of Test Management Tools e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps.
* Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
* ISTQB Qualification preferable.
* Data specific qualifications e.g. DAMA preferable.
* Relevant Computing/Data related degree preferable.
