As a member of the Stations Operations and Maintenance Team, you will contribute towards delivering the day to day maintenance and operational requirements to maximize the safe, reliable, and commercial performance of the power station.
Utilising your background knowledge and experience in the field of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering, specifically in modern heavy industry, your duties and responsibilities will include routine preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and breakdown recovery.
About the role
* Health, Safety and Environmental compliance - Meeting both legislative and corporate requirements & standards ensuring effective safety and operational practices are adopted.
* Providing technical & maintenance support for normal plant operations; breakdown & defects management - Prioritising workload and available resources
* Flexible working - Provide discipline support for plant breakdown and outages with out of hours and weekend overtime opportunities to meet the needs of the business.
* Engaging with Contract staff, Engineering & Operations and specialist support teams - Involvement in the execution of maintenance contracts and onsite work - inclusive of craft & contractor supervision
Job Requirements and Experience
* Hold a minimum level-3 Engineering qualification in your discipline, such as a BTEC, NVQ, or ONC.
* Possess extensive experience in electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance within heavy, process, or power industries.
* Have strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with business IT systems, and experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
* Be a self-motivated and adaptable individual, able to work independently and provide team support as needed.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and regulations.
Advantageous, not essential
Possession of hazardous area equipment knowledge (Compex Ex01-Ex04) and an IOSH Managing Safely certification is desirable.
