We have an excellent opening for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join our team at our Grimsby office.

This position will also fund study support for ACA or ACCA if you are a part-qualified applicant wishing to pursue these higher qualifications.

What does the job involve?
A typical working day could include:
* Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner managed businesses.
* Client facing role – being the main point of contact for these clients to resolve queries and assist with accounting matters.
* Accounts preparation for clients – planning, reviewing and finalisation. Working knowledge of FRS102 1A and FRS105, desirable.
* Ad hoc bookkeeping including overview of VAT returns / payroll / management accounts / advising on cloud accounting systems such as Xero.
* Corporation tax and personal tax compliance and planning services and review of these returns / computations.
* Assisting in the training / support of trainees.
* Supporting the partners with more technical tasks.
What do you need to bring to the table?
To be successful, you must be AAT level 4 qualified with experience at a minimum. You should be working towards your ACA or ACCA qualification or be fully qualified. You must also possess the following skills:
* Proven track record in a practice environment.
* Able to work unaided to strict deadlines.
* Apply theory and practice and reach logical conclusions.
* Build constructive relationships with other team members.
* Accept instruction from senior personnel.
