Offline CNC Programmer
This role offers a great opportunity to join a growing engineering business that invests in the development of their staff and continuous improvement of their facility. The purpose of this role is to programme all new work coming through the business to ensure components are manufactured with precision and in the most effective way possible. This is an office based programming role and will require the successful applicant to have expert knowledge of offline/ CADCAM Programming. Working on exciting and varied high precision projects
Offline CNC Programmer Responsibilities
* Toolpath Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM Software for various machining operations (milling, turning, 5-axis, etc.) based on 3D models and technical drawings.
* Simulation & Verification: Simulate toolpaths in CADCAM to detect potential collisions, ensure machining efficiency, and validate that the generated programs will run smoothly on the CNC machines.
* Post-Processing: Use CADCAM Software post-processing tools to generate machine-specific G-code from toolpaths, ensuring the programs are compatible with the workshops CNC machines.
* Collaborating with Engineers and Operators: Work closely with other engineers to provide tool list and to understand part specifications and machining requirements, and communicate with CNC operators to troubleshoot and refine programs if needed.
* Tool Selection & Optimization: Select appropriate tooling and cutting strategies for specific parts and materials, optimizing programs for speed, efficiency, and part quality.
Offline CNC Programmer Experience Required
* Strong Offline/ CADCAM Programming background
* Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings
* 5 Axis machining
* Ability to produce programmes that create precision parts according to specifications

* £40,000-£50,000 per annum (Open to Negotiation DOE)
