What you will do Our Service Engineer’s deliver the preventative maintenance, routine service and remedial works in the field associated with the site wide F ire D etection and Gas Suppression systems of the customers premises. Typical systems would include Conventional, Addressable fire detection and alarm systems, networked systems, graphics packages, Gas extinguishing systems. The successful candidate will be confident in working on their own as well as part of a team taking direction from their manager and meeting with the requirements of both the customer and the business alike. The ideal candidate will take personal responsibility for service delivery, quality and health and safety by acting as a role model to meet and exceed customer expectations as well as advising the customer and business of remedial actions and potential upgrades. Including integrity testing. Accurately and consistently record timings and all service documentation using provided IPAD and Service software. Drive deficiencies, materials and product sales. Lead and drive a first class customer service experience. Conform to all QEHS regulations and take part in all training provided as and when needed to meet the businesses requirement for a zero harm workplace. Responsible for signing up to all RAMS, PPE, Tool box talks, van audits and accident investigations. Actively take part and assist in driving their continuous improvement of performance, training and development. Actively take part in internal technical audits. Actively be involved in coaching of new apprentices. Be a key link between the customer and their Field Line Manager ensuring there is effective communication of works carried out and works required between all parties. Successfully complete and pass enhanced security vetting programs including Disclosure Scotland, enhanced screening and Counter Terrorism Checks as and when needed. What we look for Required Experience of working within a service focused business. Full UK driving licence. Experience of working within the fire detection and protection industry. Technical experience and knowledge of fire legislation and standards within the relevant field. Excellent understanding of fire detection and alarm systems and associated field devices. Preferred Good understanding of Gas suppression systems and the service and maintenance of such. Preferred experience of leading teams, coaching and developing staff. LI-JB5 LI-onsite
