Senior National Account Manager - Stonegate
To drive sustainable growth of the Asahi UK portfolio across a dedicated customer, working with partners to build long term relationships, and deliver joint business plans. With P&L responsibility, develop an insight and category led approach to the customer that will encompass a broad contact strategy with internal and external stakeholders.
Focus on delivering growth plans across the customer through commercial excellence and superior relationships with our key contacts at all levels. Ensure that a plan is in place that continues to keep AUK's portfolio at the forefront of premium developments with the customer, backed by sound commercial principles and industry leading relationships. Analyse customer's sales data, identifying risks & opportunists turning these insights into action plans.
Work collaboratively with all key support functions (Field Sales, Brand and Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, DTS & Finance) to deliver results.
Key Accountabilities:
* The SNAM is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:
* Reporting to the NAC, responsibilities will include the development and implementation of the accounts commercial strategy as part of the core 3-year business plan.
* Commercial ownership of the ledger's annual OB plan (Volume, NPR, GM) and full P&L. Commercial responsibility for account base, including development and implementation of joint business plans.
* Support and lead Field Sales initiatives to maximise effectiveness across the key account base.
* Management of key external and internal stakeholder relationships, developed with energy, positivity, passion and strong commercial & category awareness.
* Identification of customer opportunities to develop the sector and the creation of commercial and activation solutions to drive rate of sale and presence of AUK brands in the customer base.
* Using category and insights, create compelling super premium sales propositions and business recommendations.
* Facilitate customer head office support and best use of wider resource network internally and externally to implement activation plan and deliver bespoke quality training programmes with selected customers.
* Work closely with Customer Services and Logistics to maximise supply chain efficiencies for AUK and the customers.
* Manage complexity through efficient planning, resource allocation and project management.
* To support the NAC with the development of commercial strategy and key projects.
* Manage and maintain SKU volume, NPR and GM forecasting across the direct account base.
* Manage trade Investment budget in line with commercial plans and evaluate the effectiveness of activity.
Experience Required:
* Educated to at least degree level
* Knowledge of the UK beer market
* Experience in sales roles across key customers (On or Off Trade)
* Ability to develop and execute successful key account strategies
* Understanding of Market & Sales Channels, including trends, key players & consumers
* Understands how money is made; has managed a P&L and has a proven track record of P&L growth & mix management
* Proficiency in using data and metrics to drive decision-making and optimize sales performance
* Manages & scrutinises budgets for account base, demonstrates ability to target spend within customer portfolio to maximise ROI
* Experience in presenting, persuading, negotiating with customers
* Ability to communicate positively and effectively to a diverse range of audiences
* Management Level Operator (external & internal)
* Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence with stability of performance under pressure
* Strong internal and external customer service focus
* Valid driving license
* A field/home based role: Significant travel
