Based in Doncaster, our Bentley Works Facility provides a huge range of manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance services, using specialist equipment and precision tooling. The facility provides the main hub for internal piling and foundation equipment.
The over-riding responsibility of a Field Service Fitter is to carry out maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment to the required standard, as directed by the Field Service Manager.
You’ll:
* Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of all mechanical aspects of the plant and ancillary equipment within the depot.
* Fixed mechanical installation work.
* Utilise diagnostic technology to test, inspect, and diagnose faults on plant and ancillary equipment.
* Plan, prioritise, and schedule the flow of work on a daily basis.
* Progress the work/job from initial inspection through to final inspection and sign-off.
* Identify, record, and requisition repair items/parts as required, ensuring continuity of the work.
* Travel to sites to carry out repairs, inspections, testing, and servicing as required.
* Report to Field Service Manager about any training needs to develop full skills set required for the role.
* UK-wide travel expected.
* Required: City & Guilds / NVQ L3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or Fitting.
* Desirable: Knowledge of all types of piling/ground engineering rigs and equipment.
* Health and Safety trained - CSCS card.
* Experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment.
* Environmental awareness.
