The school is seeking a temporary Science Teacher to join their team and support the Science department during a period of staff absence. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and qualified teacher to inspire students and deliver high-quality Science lessons.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential to meet the requirements of the role.
* Experienced in Teaching Science: Confident delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Passionate About Science Education: Committed to inspiring students and fostering a love for learning within the subject.
* Adaptable and Reliable: Able to step into a temporary role and deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
* Effective in Behaviour Management: Skilled at maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment.
* An Excellent Communicator: Able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons using pre-planned resources or curriculum material provided by the school.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the school’s behaviour policy.
* Monitor and support students’ progress during the assignment, ensuring all students are on task.
* Liaise with the Science department and school leadership to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
