Work pattern This will involve 1-2 shifts on the ward to ensure clinical skills are maintained and support / supervision is provided to the nurses. This role will generally be full time Monday - Friday (9-5) with the expectation to work 1 weekend day over the month. Our unit cares for 18 young people who require the highest standard of nursing care, and the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Lead is crucial in ensuring the nursing team has the support and guidance needed to deliver this. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, requiring the ability to adapt and respond to the ever-changing needs of the ward and collaborate effectively with external teams. What you'll do: Be responsible for the effective organisation and delivery of high quality nursing care and clinical leadership within the Highfield Adolescent Unit. In conjunction with Head of Service, Senior Modern Matron, Modern Matron and Ward Manager, you will be expected to contribute in the development of acute service provision across the CAMHS Pathway. To provide, maintain and develop nursing care to the optimum standard possible within the resources provided. To act as the clinical leader, providing role modelling, facilitation and education to the nursing team. Support the provision of 24-hour care and clinical accountability for the unit. To work collaboratively with the senior nursing team in ensuring effective joint working with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure responsive and appropriate service delivery to young people, families and carers. To represent the service both externally and internally in respect of all the above.
