Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Support:
Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons, providing support to individual students or small groups.Take responsibility for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity in the learning process.
2. Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the planning and development of curriculum resources.Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusively in the learning environment.
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Assist in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers.Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
4. Behaviour Management:
Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.Implement behaviour management strategies, working closely with the school's policies and procedures.
5. Supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN):
Provide targeted support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement interventions effectively.
6. Parental Engagement:
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school events as required.
7. Professional Development:
Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about educational best practices and innovations.Contribute to the development and delivery of training sessions for support staff as needed.
Requirements:
8. Qualifications:
Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.Possess HLTA status or equivalent experience and qualifications.
9. Experience:
Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.Experience working with students across different age groups and abilities.
10. Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
