About the role
We're looking for an Inventory Clerk to join our team at our Cardwell Mill Unit within Blackburn.
The role is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The normal shift pattern is 12.00 pm to 8.00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch, however please note that flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
Reporting to the Team Leader within the Inventory team in our Operations department, the Inventory Clerk applies best practice to stock control procedures, delivering highest levels of stock integrity and best use of available space, including continuous stock profile reviews, in order to facilitate best use of warehouse resource.
We're looking for an individual who is conscientious, hardworking and accurate, that can work to timed deadlines, with a positive attitude and a willingness to accept responsibility. A determined problem-solving attitude is needed, along with a willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.
Whilst MHE experience is advantageous, it is essential that the individual is willing to undertake MHE training to drive our Warehouse trucks which will be part of the role.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage physical & systemic empty location checks
* Perform stock counts, stock reconciliation and update WMS.
* Manage, investigate and resolve daily unpickables.
* Investigating stock related queries
* To achieve and maintain an agreed level of stock Integrity.
* Control stock relocates
* Carry out regular PI or audit counts in line with specific client requirements
* Maintain a good standard of record keeping and filing of documentation.
* To communicate with other areas of the business to develop relations and to facilitate improvements.
* Update Department manager on daily progress or challenges within the department.
* Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers
* To assist the operation in achieving set stock KPIs.
* Produce management information / KPI reports
* To maintain a safe, clean working environment by ensuring that all statutory H&S guidelines are adhered to.
Key Skills
* Accurate, conscientious and perceptive individual, who will be literate and numerate.
* Good WMS and IT skills, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
* Self-motivated
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Common sense approach with an aptitude for detail.
* Understanding of basic Health and safety.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have demonstrable experience gained within a similar role/environment in a medium to large organisation.
