Sr. Maintenance Technician
Location: Lancaster, TX, 75134
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (To Start)
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Sr. Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of processing, packaging, and facility equipment while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. This role also involves supervisory responsibilities and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair – Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all machinery and facility equipment
2. Preventive Maintenance – Conduct routine inspections, emergency repairs, and follow scheduled maintenance plans
3. Electrical Troubleshooting – Perform minimal electrical repairs, including AC/DC motor controls, solid-state motor controls, and test equipment
4. Work Order Completion – Ensure 100% functionality for assigned work orders and log corrective maintenance issues
5. Process Improvement & Safety – Support process improvement projects and participate in safety initiatives
6. Technical Problem-Solving – Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
7. Team Leadership & Training – Serve as a resource to resolve mechanical issues and support team members
8. Compliance & Policies – Adhere to company policies, GMP compliance, safety standards, and attendance policies
9. Other Duties – Perform additional job duties as required or assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment
2. High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
3. Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
4. Experience in the Food Processing Industry
5. Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals
6. Proficiency in using multimeters and other measurement instruments
7. Effective communication and organizational skills
8. Ability to use powered and non-powered tools efficiently
9. Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, metric system, ratios, and formulas)
10. Familiarity with preventive and reliability-based maintenance
11. Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
1. Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
2. Ability to lift up to 49 lbs.
3. Must be able to take direction as well as ownership of assigned tasks
