Central Pet Cremations Ltd is a family-owned pet crematorium in Falkirk serving the local pet community and the veterinary profession since 2011.
Our close-knit team are all animal lovers who understand the grief of losing a cherished pet. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Crematorium Operative and driver.
We pride ourselves on providing the very highest levels of customer service and the business has grown naturally over the years through our own customers' recommendations. Our services include collecting pets from both private residences and local veterinary practices.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crematorium Operative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall success of our organisation. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting are crucial for this position.
Duties
* Assist in daily operations by performing various tasks as required.
* Collection - Driving to various veterinary practices to collect deceased pets, ensuring a respectful and dignified service.
* Cremations Operations: Assisting in the daily operations of our crematorium, including but not limited to, preparation for cremation, performing cremations, and preparing ashes with precision and care for return to clients.
* Client Interaction: Handling inquiries, providing empathetic customer service and managing client interactions in person or over the phone.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
* Perform heavy lifting as necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
* General Duties: Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the crematorium, ensuring all equipment is maintained and operational.
* Assisting in preparation of ashes
Skills
* Driving: Must hold a full, clean driving licence with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience due to insurance requirements. Experience driving a large van would be of benefit.
* Non-Smoker: Required for health and safety reasons within the facility.
* Attention To Detail: Critical for ensuring the correct handling and processing of each pet.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic approach to all interactions.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment whilst also having the initiative to work independently with confidence.
* Basic problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing tasks.
* A proactive approach to work with a willingness to learn new skills.
