Duties and Responsibility: Prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes including the curries, street food, quick bites/ starters, biriyani as set out in the restaurant menu. Prepare special dishes for special occasions. Prepare delicious, hygienic and healthy food according to the business principles of the Restaurant. Maintain the taste & quality of dishes which are prepared on a daily basis to ensure regular customers are satisfied. Demonstrate knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes of various curries produced in the kitchen. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Indian curries. To carry out month-end food stock taking. Ensure food prepared is of the highest possible standards. Controlling portion sizes in accordance with food specifications. Dealing with food complaints efficiently. Check that all food safety regulations and procedures are fully complied with. Skills and Experience: Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff Excellent organisational and time management skills Demonstrated leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment
