In recent years, the Arts Psychotherapies provision within BSMHFT has grown significantly, with over 20 Art. Music and Drama therapists employed across all 4 Clinical Divisions. We are proud to offer a career structure from entry-level to Consultant Art Psychotherapist, with a thriving trainee and development programme. Following the promotion of our current Band 6 colleague, we are pleased to offer a 12-month fixed term contract of employment within our Community Art Psychotherapy team. The successful candidate will be located in a CMHT in one of the five hub areas in Birmingham and Solihull. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of clinical staff as well as being part of the Art Psychotherapy Community Team and wider Arts Psychotherapies Service in the Trust.
Working alongside an experienced art psychotherapist, you will be supported to develop your clinical skills in facilitating a range of art psychotherapy interventions to individuals and groups, working as part of the MDT within the CMHT setting. You will receive clinical supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist, line management support from within the art psychotherapy service, access to training and development opportunities and have the chance to develop your confidence and clinical skill set within a dynamic team in a busy NHS setting.
