Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Integrated Neurology Administration Service, working alongside the current administration team and covering all clinical and therapy administration work particularly during periods of annual leave and absence, as well as processing Single Point of Access referrals on a rota basis. If you are looking for a new challenge that will allow you to use your administration skills, we have a vacancy for 20 hours per week worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday, and based at Evesham Medical Centre. You will need to be flexible and proactive as your job will require working with different teams at varying times, and there will also be a requirement to attend Service meetings. You will be working closely with your administration colleagues supporting their teams, and building a comprehensive knowledge of all the administration aspects of the Service. Dealing with patients via telephone and email is an integral part of the role, and an ability to problem solve and follow up patient queries is essential. The ability and willingness to occasionally travel to other sites for meetings, training or service needs is required. Main duties of the job Primary duties will include liaising with Team Leaders and administration colleagues to ensure annual leave or absence is covered, and so provide a continuous service to patients and Service users. You will be assisting admin colleagues when workload is high, helping with booking appointments and sending letters in a timely manner. You will be required to deal with telephone queries from patients and clinicians, and monitor and process email queries from the generic email accounts. There will be scanning and processing of incoming mail regularly in conjunction with other Administrators within the team. You will also be required to help with printing, and sending letters. On a rota basis you will cover the Single Point of Access generic email folder, processing referrals for the clinicians/therapist to triage. From time to time there may be file tidying and sorting on the IT systems. The use of Carenotes, NHS Spine Portal, CLIP, and other patient information systems are part of the role and relevant training will be provided if required.
