FFO Capital is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its family office team. FFO Capital manages first-generation wealth for its principals and an emerging second generation located in Philadelphia. The team is responsible for investment portfolio management, financial resource management, tax compliance, credit facilities, risk management, special assets (e.g., art, aircraft), real estate as well as operating multiple foundations and trusts. The Accounting Associate will report to the Controller and be primarily responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
The successful candidate is expected to:
1. Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely manner.
2. Maintain and organize financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliation.
3. Generate reports on accounts payable activity as needed for management.
4. Perform vendor onboarding and maintenance and assist with year-end 1099 filing.
5. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial data.
6. Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management activities.
7. Assist with quarterly compliance reporting for any family office transactions.
8. Work with the internal art team to maintain art collection inventory for insurance and tax purposes.
9. Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
10. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration with accounting or finance major preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting roles. Family office or private wealth industry experience preferred.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite of products and QuickBooks.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
5. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong organizational skills with ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
8. Ability to function effectively in a dynamic fast paced and fluid environment.
9. Integrity and confidential handling of sensitive financial information.
