Outreach Manager in Partnership with Ulster University

The Purpose:
This leadership role heads up Manchester United Foundation activities in Northern Ireland overseeing all Education and Community Programmes. It will see the postholder working closely in partnership with the Widening Access and Participation Education Partnerships Team at Ulster University.
The Role:
* Work with the CEO Operations Director and a nominated person at Ulster University to develop and deliver a strategic plan in Northern Ireland.
* Work strategically across all Manchester United Foundation departments, and with Ulster University’s Widening Access Team, to identify and develop qualitative programmes and workshops in line with key objectives.
* Provide strategic direction by researching and identifying potential funding, partnership, and programme development opportunities.
* Oversee the planning and delivery of education and community engagement services and events to partners and programme participants.
* Lead, manage, mentor, and support staff ensuring they continue to deliver the highest standards of care, supervision, safeguarding and service.
* Build strong and effective partnerships within Manchester United’s parent club, Ulster University, and with all external partners for the betterment of the partnership as a whole and to support the successful achievement of the objectives set.
* Responsible for the department's approved budgets to ensure that allocated internal funds and external funding streams are maximised against agreed programme activity and objectives.
* Knowledge of Northern Ireland legislation, policy and statistics regarding which have an impact on the strategic direction of the Foundation and Ulster University’s Widening Access and Participation work.
The Person:
* Proven track record of practical experience of working with young people in areas of deprivation.
* Scoping, delivering, and evaluating a range of education and community programmes.
* Raising the profile of a programme and becoming a thought leader.
* Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to achieve strategic and contractual objectives.
* Strong organisational and communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
* Think strategically in the context of, and alignment with, wider existing objectives and partnerships.
* Inclusive leadership, able to create, manage and develop a high performing team.
* Create a fun, structured, learning environment that is inspiring, dynamic, challenging and educational.
* Financial Management (Planning, organising, directing, and controlling financial activities).
* Ability to capture the success and report on the impact of your work.
* A full UK driving licence with access to own car for business use.
* Recognised coaching qualification (Desirable)
* Educated to degree, HND level or A level equivalent (Desirable)
* Youth work qualification (Desirable).
