A day in the life of…
Working in one or more of the hotel's bars, as a Bartender you’ll be responsible for ensuring that guests have a positive, first class dining experience. You’ll greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised dining area, restocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation as needed whilst working agilely to support the rest of the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, based on standard recipes and customer preferences.
* Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, engaging with them to understand their preferences and making recommendations.
* Bar Management: Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Inventory Control: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies, stocking, and maintaining accurate records.
* Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends in beverages and cocktails, and incorporate new ideas into the menu.
* Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and glassware are sanitized and in good condition.
* Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, and manage the bar's cash register.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth service and a positive guest experience.
* Event Support: Assist in planning and executing bar-related events and promotions.
Please note that due to licensing legislation, we will only be accepting applicants who are age 18 or above. Due to the nature of this role, you may be required to work late evenings and weekends.
What do we need from you?
* Experience isn’t essential, but to be successful in this role you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards.
* You’ll have strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
* An ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members to provide excellent service to guests, being agile in your ability to support colleagues across the hotel.
* Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organised dining area.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Experience working in a bar or hospitality environment and knowledge of creating cocktails as well as other beverages would be beneficial.
