Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our dynamic and inclusive school community. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality DT lessons across a range of specialisms (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Textiles, or Graphics) that cater to diverse abilities and learning needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. Promote outstanding behaviour for learning and maintain high standards of student engagement. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement and achievement. Inspire students to explore their potential in design, engineering, and technology, connecting curriculum content to real-world applications. Uphold and contribute to the school’s values of respect, tolerance, and inclusivity. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student learning and wellbeing. Participate in wider school initiatives, including promoting British values and community engagement. Qualifications and Skills A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). A strong academic background in Design and Technology or a related discipline. Proven ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons across DT specialisms. Commitment to fostering innovation, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities in students. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
