We are seeking an accomplished Lead Project Director to spearhead our dynamic Projects delivery team across multiple sites in the North of England.
This senior role reports directly to our Head of Projects and involves overseeing a team of Project and Assistant Project Managers, delivering multiple high-profile projects for a major defence customer. The successful candidate will be expected to lead with ownership, drive excellence in execution, ensure client satisfaction, and adhere to financial and health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex projects, with a proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. As a leader, they will foster clear communication, effective collaboration, and high performance within project teams. Risk management will be a critical aspect of this role, requiring the identification and mitigation of risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), is essential. The successful candidate will promote a culture of safety and well-being on all projects and provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is also essential for ensuring meticulous project documentation and administrative aspects are handled with precision.
The successful candidate will hold a professional certification such as APM, RICS, CIOB, or a similar qualification. They will have a proven track record of managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail are crucial for navigating complex project challenges effectively.
