As a Business Support Officer for the Kent Enablement at Home Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, you will be responsible for leadership of a small team of Business Support Coordinators, including providing supervision and support whilst having oversight, organising and delegation of a range of tasks that need to be undertaken on a regular basis to ensure a smooth running service. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:
* An empathetic caring approach, with the ability to remain emotionally resilient.
* Excellent organisational, delegation and planning skills, ability to prioritise your own and a team workload and work well under pressure.
* Brilliant interpersonal skills and experience of working with people and challenging situations.
* Knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems.
* A willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development.
* Flexibility in their approach and readiness to embrace new ways of working.
In return, we can offer you:
* A detailed induction and training programme, with an ongoing plan for personal and professional development.
* 27 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata).
* A generous contributory pension scheme.
* Access to a huge range of free health and wellbeing resources, alongside other discounts from high street stores and online shopping.
We value different skill sets and recognise that career paths are fluid. Whether you aim to manage your own team of people or really hone your specialist skills and become an expert in your area, the opportunity to follow your career goals is available at Kent County Council.
We recognise that work isn't just somewhere you go for a set number of hours. Work is something we do. Working is our vision of the behaviours, attributes and attitudes. As a business, we are committed to providing a flexible approach to when, where and how our staff work in line with our business needs. We encourage our staff to work in the way that best balances personal and work life, helping you achieve a great work-life balance.
