ROLE PURPOSE To operate in a Design team carrying out challenging programmes of work on state of the art aircraft engines. The roles offer opportunities for developing skills, knowledge and experience in this exciting industry. This involves providing Origination support at the Concession initiation stage. You will be expected to check all required documents are available before export control rating them and uploading them for review. Liaise with supplier / ME teams if any errors/ discrepancies found and work with the coordinators to ensure quality standards are maintained. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (Please list in order of priority) The role involves administrative support activities that include: Receive submissions from Supplier/ ME teams and log into Kanbanize/ Businessmap. Check all required documents available - if not request from supplier/ ME Check the Export control rating in customer bespoke system. If not available, then get applicable export rating with the help of EPOC/ ME teams. Thoroughly check submissions to ensure quality meets required general standards Coaching of suppliers/ ME teams to ensure relevant quality standards followed as required. Using technical drawings / supplied documents ensure concession/ DP submission contains correct information - drawing references / non-conformance values etc. Check any previous history of non-conformance and add to submission as applicable. Liaise with supplier / ME teams if any errors/ discrepancies found. Carry out updates/ corrections to submissions as requested Transfer submissions into SAP either manually or using 'concession uploader' tools as applicable to submission format. Mark all documents with applicable Export/ IP ratings to customer requirements Upload documents to correct ForumPass area and link to SAP/ send documents to DE teams as applicable. Release concession/ DP/TAD to correct coordinator team for DE assessment. Advise suppliers/ ME teams of submission status and SAP reference Coordinate RFI from DE with supplier/ ME teams. Obtain information required and return as required. Log RFI on tracker and movement of Kanbanize cards. Coordinate all communication between supplier/ ME teams and D.E teams. Liaise with concession coordinators/ME/ Design teams from other areas whenever required. Update and maintain the tracker for visual management. Chase task owners to ensure that tasks are progressed as required. After NCA completion check for MEP owner and assign for SAP closure. After ME closure in SAP, the concession is fully closed. Contribute to development of best practices and productivity improvement Ensure to close the concession in the SAP Returning the completed Concession, DAR, DP & TAD to respective stakeholders ensuring EC requirements are followed. Ensure relevant screening process followed prior to transfer of EC documents to external parties as required Use IP & export control register as appropriate for transfer of EC documents Additional support to supplier/ ME teams as required Provide any ad-hoc reports as required. Provide technical/ quality advice/support to other teams as required. Attend meetings/ calls for support as required Work Experience EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS (ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE) Experience Applicants should have experience supporting administrative/coordination activities including interaction with multiple stakeholders to send/ receive and coordinate information. Knowledge Should be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Able to quickly learn querying and downloading information from ERP systems such as SAP and other databases. A Good understanding of MS Excel and its use. A basic understanding of gas turbine engines and their components. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE) Experience Ideally applicants should have experience supporting Non-Conformance administrative / coordination activities including interaction with multiple engineering stakeholders to send/ receive and coordinate information. Previous experience of SAP based non-conformance systems would be beneficial. Knowledge 2-3 years of experience in a coordination /administrative role providing support to engineering teams, preferably supporting non-conformance management. Prior experience of Kanban would be an advantage A Good understanding of gas turbine functionality and operability of major components. Qualifications High School/ A Levels relevant experience or BEng with relevant experience, or relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering industry SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE) Excellent Computer Literacy with experience of using Microsoft Office tools Ability to communicate effectively with customers and a diverse staff population. Must be confident, resourceful, highly organised and be able to work with little direct intervention Self-starter also able to work well within a large team Able to track and report multiple items at the same time using Excel/ Word lists
