In this technical position, you will be responsible for consultations with the audit team on technical accounting and audit queries and acting as an integral part of the team in maintaining the firm’s audit quality and compliance. Given the dynamic nature of the team, there is significant potential for growth within this role. The ideal candidate will hold an ACA or ACCA qualification and have worked in a similar capacity. Additionally, applicants should have knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS, experience in conducting cold file reviews, and the ability to provide constructive feedback. The important things you will be doing: Responsible for dealing with audit and accounting technical queries Conducting internal cold file reviews Assisting with updates to the firm’s audit methodology Supporting internal ad-hoc audit-related projects The skills and experience you will bring: Be a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant – or equivalent Experience working as a manager within a technical audit team Experience in performing technical file reviews to ensure compliance with UK auditing standards Strong UK GAAP/IFRS financial reporting knowledge Excellent written and communication skills Why PKF Smith Cooper?
