We're seeking a dynamic Senior Catering Engineer to join our Naval Architecture and Outfitting Chapter to help deliver innovative and sustainable cruising, based within our Southampton, German, Finland, or Netherlands office. Role Overview You will be a specialist in Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding, and recognised expert within and outside your own discipline. As a chapter member, you will play a vital role within a dynamic and agile team, contributing to technical excellence, sharing specialized knowledge, and actively collaborating with fellow team members to foster innovation and achieve excellence. You will be a recognised representative for the Catering discipline in interactions with key stakeholders (brands, corporate entities, consultants, and external bodies, etc.) and other CCS departments. As a senior manager, you will apply your subject matter expertise to support the ship design, plan approval, construction & inspection supervision, commissioning, sea trials, and final acceptance process, for newbuilds and provide post-delivery support as directed by project demand. Key accountabilities include: - Approval of technical plans, documents, drawings, procedures related to ship design, construction, commissioning across multiple categories and disciplines as applicable, - A strong focus on catering spaces/ systems/ equipment as well as other hotel operations such as provision stores, laundries etc - Participation in the design development, system design and evaluation of equipment specifications to ensure that all statutory and company safety and operational standards and requirements are observed throughout. - Provision of surveying, inspection and commissioning services within allocated discipline, including dry-dock, sea trials and USPHS inspections. - Responsible for environmental compliance during all construction and testing phases. Required Qualifications and Skills - Degree in relevant engineering discipline - Chartered Engineer - Proven technical experience in the marine industry such as shipbuilding, classification societies or ship operators, technical suppliers, or engineering firm in a senior position. - Experience or knowledge of Cruise ship hotel/ catering operations - Detailed knowledge of USPHS requirements About You You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment yet is capable of working with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
