Job summary The School Nursing service is part of the wider Children's Health services which provides Community based services for children and young people (aged 5-19 years). The School nursing service works with stakeholders across a number of settings and organisations to lead delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (5-19) to improve child health outcomes and ensure that families at risk are identified at the earliest opportunity. The Nursery Nurses will be part of skill mixed team of qualified School Nurses, Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurse, Clinical Support Workers, administrative staff and apprentices. Main duties of the job The post holder as an effective member of the school nursing service will support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) 5-19 to a defined population. Using evidence based and needs led service; the post holder will offer packages of care in a variety of community settings, which include child health clinic, home, early year's settings and children's centres.
