How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for an Operational Excellence Professional to join our Service Offshore team working within the Northern Europe & Middle East (NE&ME) region. The role will work along-side other central-reporting operational excellence professionals striving to ensure our operations continually focus on improvements.
On a day to day basis this role will work with other Operational Excellence Professionals, Operations Managers, Site Manager and Senior Technicians as well as other central specialist supporting teams (e.g. tooling teams, repair shop teams, global process teams, supply chain teams, etc).
There is the expectation that some travel within the NE&ME region will be required from time to time, firstly to maintain close relationships with our Operational staff working on our wind farms, and secondly to attain a deep understanding of our Site based operational processes. These travel requirements can vary and are only expected to be roughly up to 25% of the time as a guide.
The role is based on a standard Monday – Friday working pattern, due to the requirement to support our operational windfarm sites there may also be a requirement for time to time to go offshore and understand our operational process on our both our vessels and turbines.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to
1. Responsibility for the scoping, planning, and delivery of operational improvement projects under a Lean Six Sigma methodology.
2. Responsibility in coordination with the Operational Excellence team to drive standardisation and embed a continuous improvement culture within Offshore NE&ME
3. Advise, guide & support (in person and remotely) the site based operational teams on what and how to implement standardised daily working procedures.
4. Prepare and lead in person or online workshops to support effective communication and problem-solving processes.
5. Responsibility for coordination and implementation of operational & technical improvements in conjunction with Global functions to facilitate the digital transformation within service region.
6. Drive data analytics and management reporting to support decision making.
7. Support the development and operational translation of Key Performance Indicators into action centred responses.
What you need to make a difference

8. Some years of working experience in a project environment
9. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
10. Experience and or exposure to Lean Six Sigma/Project Management methodology and tools.
11. Ideally you will have a technically biased background and familiarity with at least one of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s wind turbine products would be preferred
12. Experience in managing and developing strong and trustful relationships with customers and other internal/external stakeholders
13. Fluency in English both orally and in writing is mandatory, German would also be desirable.
14. A positive attitude towards challenges and change management.
15. The ability to promote an idea/concept and influence others.
16. The ability to analyse and translate data-based facts into operational improvements.
17. The ability to work independently and manage your own workload and priorities.
18. A drive and passion for improvement and the ability to spot opportunities to achieve this.
