The successful TIG Welder will ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales.
Work closely with the Lead Technician to enable welding and fabrication objectives to be completed. Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules, aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Quality Control evaluations.
2. Set up and run leak checking operations using mass spectrometry equipment (helium leak detectors) on all chamber vessels.
To be successful in this role of TIG Welder, we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in TIG welding.
2. TIG Welding (ideally working with stainless steel & Mu metal).
3. Established skillset in metal fabrication and welding, including the use of precision measuring equipment.
4. Able to read specified drawings.
5. Comfortable working to deadlines set by the lead technician.
6. Basic knowledge of turning would be an advantage.
7. Follow all health and safety regulations and seek to maintain and improve these standards.
