Project Planning Manager - Construction
Cheltenham / Gloucester
Salary: Up to £50k negotiable depending on experience + benefits
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is a global market leader in providing the highest quality infrastructure solutions worldwide. Due to continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth for 2025, they are seeking to recruit an organized and experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of proactive planning and delivery of multiple build projects, while maintaining the highest levels of quality, customer service, and satisfaction provided by the refurbishment division.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and logistics of temporary build solutions. The Project Planning Manager will ensure that solutions are planned effectively, meet the highest quality standards, comply fully with industry regulations, and meet often pressurized timescales and deadlines while remaining within budget.
To be considered for this varied and genuinely challenging role within a market-leading environment, it is envisaged that the successful Project Planning Manager will demonstrate considerable experience in planning, project, and people management—ideally gained within the construction industry, although experience in other fast-paced technical environments will be considered. Experience in modular construction will be distinctly advantageous.
Essentially, you will possess strong leadership and team management skills, along with effective communication skills to engage with and influence customers, suppliers, and tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, etc.). You will also have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, managing multiple projects with varying deadlines while being mindful of resource requirements, storage logistics, and deadlines in line with customer requirements.
Additionally, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, proficiency in project management software and tools, and comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations. A full clean UK driving license is essential for the position, as travel to sites, including the Gloucester area Head Office, may be required.
