Job Title: Industrial Electrical Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: Lancaster
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position
Hours: Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am - 7:00pm
The Role:
Provide planned preventative and predictive maintenance service and support to the relevant department functions of the factory, which will enable the department to operate at a level of availability and performance within agreed standards.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Industrial Electrical Engineer:
Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment
Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of the factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns
Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices
Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory
Safely use all hand and power tools
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken
Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions
PLC knowledge will be an asset but not essential
Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old one
Education/Experience of the Industrial Electrical Engineer:
The Industrial Electrical Engineer will have a sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
Candidates should possess a formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent.
General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment.
