The post holder is responsible for providing high standards of care is delivered and is cost effective. They will always ensure patient safety and will be responsible or the day-to-day supervision of the nursing team in the absence of the lead nurse. Clinical Lead an MDT, supporting a caseload of patients with an allocated key nurse, a co-worker HCA and allocated MDT representatives. Have an allocated lead area for the service, e.g., the management of self-harm, up-keep of the clinic room in line with policies and procedures. To ensure that the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families, To act as patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met, To report any issues that are identified by patients or their relatives on a timely basis, To ensure a high standard of infection control and the prevention of all avoidable healthcare associated infections, To administer all drugs and medications as per the local policies and procedures, To report to the lead nurse any nursing issues of significance or concern, To ensure that all policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions that relate to nursing are followed, To maintain sound and effective working relationships and communication with all hospital staff and consultants, To maintain an appropriate standard of confidentiality. Any disclosures of confidential information (including personal information kept on computer or other media) made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offence. Ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Children Act are fulfilled, as applicable.
