Due to continued success, Our Real Estate Partner is seeking the addition of a Property Associate to join them in London / or on a remote basis.
The Role
We are looking for a Residential Property Solicitor / Legal executive 2+ years PQE to join our London based Residential & Commercial Property Partner on a remote basis.
As a Solicitor / Legal Executive (2PQE+) you will be joining an outstanding Real Estate Partner. You will be a key member of the department, with the responsibility of fee-earning and being very much involved in the transactions.
You will be working on a broad and varied range of residential property transactions including liaising with other team members and coordinating advice from other practice areas and departments.
Your duties will involve; drafting and negotiating a wide range of transaction documents including residential sale contracts, residential leases, agreements for lease and carrying out due diligence, such as reviewing and reporting on title, planning and searches, the preparation of draft reports; and much more.
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of all stages of a property transaction and be confident in handling their workload with minimal supervision.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Transfer of ownership
2. Filing SDLT Returns
3. Carrying out Land Registry searches
4. Completion and post completion administration; to include Companies House and Land Registry applications
5. Monitor emails and responding where necessary and applicable
6. Preparing Lease Reports and other document summaries
7. Scheduling Title Deeds and Documents
8. Assisting with administrative duties such as filing, copying, printing, answering calls, emails and liaising with clients.
This role is suitable for individuals with previous residential property experience who wish to step into a Top 75 law firm and develop their experience in the residential & Commercial Property space.
The position can be based in either of our national offices or on a Remote basis.
Personal Specification
To be successful in the role, you will have prior experience in Property Law as a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2+ years of experience handling residential property matters. You will have strong experience using Microsoft office, Adobe, DocuSign and more. You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
1. Excellent communicator, both written and oral
2. Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
3. Be self-motivated and have a strong interest in property.
4. Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
5. Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms).
6. Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
7. Ability to take initiative with tasks.
