A Career as Unique as You Are:
An opening for an exceptional and well experienced General Manager has become available due to an internal promotion. We seek to appoint a highly experienced and strategic leader able to influence and innovate within our unparalleled luxury environment.
An overseer of the broad scope of operations for our expansive Showroom, you will be the driving force behind creating seamless and immersive customer experiences along with sales growth. With your history of success, you will be able to demonstrate your natural leadership flare for leading and steering large teams. Able to prioritise effectively in a fast-changing environment, invent and simplify you will be well able to communicate clearly and persuasively. All underpinned by a meticulous sales process and operational strategy.
Here Is How We See Your Role:
1. Ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the store through assessing, delegation, monitoring, and implementation of any necessary procedure to attain this.
2. Excellent Sales Floor Management skills, leading by example to foster a positive work environment.
3. Attain sales and profit excellence by the achievement of set monthly and yearly targets.
4. Oversee the application of all health, safety, and security policies to ensure team member and customer safety.
5. Maintain transparent and open communication with internal and external stakeholders. Inspire our store colleagues to be innovative and share ideas.
6. Implement and oversee the highest standards for the store ensuring that windows, shop interior and exterior along with back-office spaces are maintained to an optimal level.
7. Oversee all aspects of Customer Service delivery to ensure it is consistently imparted in line with Laings reputed high standards.
8. Effective and timely management of customer complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution for both customer and Laings.
9. Pro-actively develop our database of customers and ensure that all data gathering opportunities are maximised by team members.
10. A revered role model for the store, generate business through networking and identifying opportunities to introduce Laings to other businesses.
11. Consistently communicate and train team members on launched new products and ensure that the team is knowledgeable on all aspects of product knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experience.
12. Evaluate each team member's performance to determine progress, in turn identifying developmental needs and to promote, celebrate successes.
13. Partner with our Talent Acquisition Lead on recruitment and selection to build on our top talent teams.
14. In collaboration with our Marketing team, assist when requested with event management.
The Perfect Person We are Looking for Must Have:
1. A minimum five year’s prior experience as General Manager or similar Executive Managerial level role, ideally in the luxury retail sector.
2. Professional approach with the ability to listen, acknowledge, and assess relevant information.
3. Ability to communicate relevant information with all colleagues and Directors at all business levels.
4. Excellent foresight to develop our business and our staff.
5. Ability to work as both part of a team and under own initiative.
6. Displays a positive, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude to inspire and motivate others to achieve and attain Shop targets and results.
7. Sound IT skills and prior experience in reporting analysis.
8. Outstanding companywide and broader industry commercial awareness.
