We are looking for someone with excellent people and organisational skills to join our People & Operations team.
As HR Administrator, you will work alongside the HR Manager and wider team assisting in the day-to-day HR administration at Team Domenica.
CONTRACT DETAILS
CONTRACT: 10-month Fixed Term Contract.
WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week, 10 am to 2 pm, with some flexibility.
SALARY: Up to £25,000 gross per annum (FTE).
ANNUAL LEAVE: 25 days holiday per annum plus 8 English bank and public holidays (pro-rata).
LINE MANAGER: HR Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Deliver HR administration support to the entire employee cycle: recruitment process onboarding, training, payroll and leavers.
Ensure that recruitment practices comply with safer recruitment and employment legislation.
Help maintain the charity’s Single Central Record for staff in line with Ofsted requirements and accurately record compulsory training is completed.
Ensure staff records are well organised and kept up to date on the Charity’s online HR system (Breathe).
Ensure the latest Charity policies and procedures are easily accessible to all staff on the HR system.
Answer incoming calls and monitor the HR mailbox, responding and escalating as necessary to the HR Manager.
Ensure that data is handled in line with the General Data Protection Regulations and conform to necessary audit requirements.
Help with basic IT support including setting up new email accounts, resetting passwords and maintaining distribution lists.
Other ad hoc duties as required within HR.

Requirements and Person Specification
Knowledge of HR Administration procedures and employment law or a HR qualification (Ideal).
Experience of working in an administration role with use of MS office/ emails and databases.
Excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail and discretion.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
Comfortable taking the initiatives and working independently, whilst also be able to work within a supportive team with a can-do attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Health & Safety qualification and relevant Fire Safety training (will be provided through the charity).
This role will be based predominantly at Brighton Office. Depending on their roles, our staff can be required to work on a range of different sites, including our main training centre, enrichment site, training cafés and employer’s premises.
