The Opportunity Join Wight Building Materials, a Joint Venture of Aggregate Industries and Eurovia, on the Isle of Wight as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and improving our electrical systems across the site in a days only role. As part of the Engineering Department, you’ll contribute to safety excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement within a 24/7 operation. Carry out electrical maintenance, installations, and improvements to ensure plant and equipment are operating at optimal levels. Perform inspections, tests, and repairs on fixed electrical installations, safety equipment, and portable appliances. Take a proactive role in risk assessments, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with mechanical fitters and operational teams to drive high standards of performance and workplace organization. Keep the site running efficiently by promptly addressing electrical issues and proposing cost-effective solutions. Who You Are You’re a skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance. Your technical expertise and commitment to safety make you an asset to any team. Here’s what makes you a great fit: Minimum Level 3 qualification in engineering specifically an electrical qualification or apprenticeship. Ideally have 18th edition and be able to test portable appliances. Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, including installations, inspections, and fault-finding. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to following processes and procedures. IT literate and physically fit, with the ability to work shifts as part of a 24/7 operation.
