As a PSHE Teacher, you will work collaboratively with staff to foster students’ wellbeing, emotional resilience, and social responsibility. Key Responsibilities
Inspiring Excellence in PSHE
* Lead and support staff in delivering engaging and meaningful PSHE lessons.
* Model best practices in PSHE teaching and learning.
* Promote the importance of PSHE in students’ personal growth and wellbeing.
Curriculum Development
* Design and maintain a comprehensive PSHE curriculum, informed by student needs and emerging trends.
* Align PSHE content with IB Programme Standards, school priorities, and UK national guidance.
* Ensure the curriculum addresses key issues such as mental health, diversity, sustainability, and digital citizenship.
Professional Learning & Collaboration
* Mentor staff to enhance the delivery of PSHE content.
* Identify and promote relevant professional development opportunities.
* Collaborate with grade-level leaders, counsellors, students, and external organisations to strengthen the PSHE programme.
Student Wellbeing & Support
* Work closely with student support services to ensure the curriculum meets all learners’ needs.
* Monitor and assess the impact of PSHE on student wellbeing and engagement.
* Support initiatives that build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and social responsibility.
Leadership & Administration
* Oversee and coordinate the delivery of PSHE across all grade levels.
* Organise resources, guest speakers, and events to enhance the PSHE programme.
* Continuously review and improve the effectiveness of the PSHE curriculum.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A passionate educator with experience in PSHE or a related field.
* Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
* A commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
* IB experience is desirable but not essential.
* A positive personality, with the ability to judge the appropriate balance of support and challenge that
* individual young people need in order to thrive.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Educated to Bachelors degree or international equivalent as a minimum in the relevant subject or a Bachelor of Education
* A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/PGDE/QTS/valid Teaching Licence)
* A minimum of two years’ post qualifying teaching experience
* Strong IT skills (e.g. Apple Teacher qualification)
* Experience of/willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning
* Fluent in both verbal and written English
* Experience of teaching in an international school is desirable
* Understanding of and commitment to the Mission, Aims and Values of ACS International Schools
