About Ferovinum:
We’re revolutionising the supply chain and financial foundations of the $800bn global drinks industry by building a platform that will change the way that commerce is executed forever!
We've just secured our Series A funding and are proud to be part of Notion Capital's portfolio. We've already influenced immense change in the UK markets and have personally already seen tremendous growth, with over £170 million of product transacted through the platform and increased annual sales by 1,000% since early 2023.
To date we're proud to say that we've deployed over £114m of funding in support of UK wine and spirits producers. As we look to expand our offering globally we're looking for ambitious builders that want to change an industry and be part of the journey with us.
We're first to market and intend to stay ahead of the game! In short, it's the perfect time to join as we aim for unicorn and beyond.
The Role:
Our platform is experiencing explosive growth and requires ongoing architecture upgrades to handle the ever-increasing complexity, all while delivering new features at a rapid pace. As a UX / UI Engineer, you will work alongside our CTO and CPO to build best in class design architecture with a customer-first mindset. This is our first dedicated hire for UX / UI, so you’ll be responsible for everything from Wireframing, Prototyping, Visual & Interaction design through to testing.
Our product is like a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle—except the pieces are finance, logistics, and industrial processes. You’ll need to quickly get up to speed and see the big picture. We’re on the hunt for a talented and ambitious individual ready to tackle hard challenges and enjoy the rewarding career that comes with being part of a fast-growing company with a grand vision and a killer product.
As we grow the function, you’ll be involved in hiring, mentoring, and nurturing a culture that’s collaborative, ambitious, and laser-focused on results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design UX / UI Infrastructure: as our first dedicated UX / UI hire, you’ll be responsible for building the foundations for our design success.
* Customer Onboarding: having our end customers as your top priority, you will design and implement a best-in-class customer onboarding journey; we’re moving to a PLG motion so ease of use and automation are key to our success.
* Wireframing and Prototyping: creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups to visualize user flows and interactions.
* Visual Design: design UI elements like color schemes, typography, icons, and layouts to ensure aesthetic appeal and brand consistency working collaboratively with our Head of Marketing.
* Interaction Design: define how users interact with digital interfaces, including transitions, animations, and micro-interactions.
* Usability Testing: conduct user testing sessions to identify usability issues and iterate on designs based on feedback.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of solid software engineering experience.
* Startup Samurai: You’ve survived (and thrived in) the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of startups. You know how to move fast, iterate quickly, and deliver results without losing your cool—or your code.
* Complexity Slayer: Simplicity isn’t just a goal, it’s your religion. You turn spaghetti code into streamlined elegance, and you believe that every feature should be as easy to use as pouring a glass of wine.
* Visual Design Skills: Proficiency in color theory, typography, and layout design.
* Prototyping Tools: Familiarity with design software like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and InVision.
* A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).

* TypeScript: React.js (FE) / Node.js (BE)
* Java
* GoLang
