Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity to work as a band 6 Physiotherapist in the Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS). This post is located in the Leicester City team based at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre (BHSCC). Although the service requirement is for a B6, for the right candidate we would be happy to consider a B5 to B6 development post, expected to take 12 months to complete (for a full time post). CINSS strives to provide specialist integrated care to patients in LLR. The successful candidate will join a specialist MDT comprising of Physios, OTs, Dieticians, a Neuropsychologist, a Rehabilitation Consultant and Generic TIs. This post requires a dedicated autonomous physiotherapist with sound clinical experience in neurology and stroke rehabilitation. Previous community experience would also be advantageous. You will be required to manage a caseload in a busy and developing environment. Excellent organisational, communication & team working skills are required for this position, along with the ability to support & train other members of the team. The base is at BHSCC, with regional bases in Loughborough, Hinckley, Market Harborough & Melton Mowbray. The post is for 37.5hrs per week but we will also consider part-time working hours. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. To hold responsibility for own caseload, working without direct supervision. Supervision is through regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and case presentations. Access to advice and support from a Band 7 is available as required. Contribute to the supervision, education and assessment of the performance of PT students in accordance with University standards. To take responsibility for the clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and PT/generic assistants working with the post holder. To participate in audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice.
