This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Trading Standards and Licensing Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The Licensing Service is responsible for the administration of a number of functions which includes alcohol, entertainment, late night refreshment, taxi and private hire licensing, gambling, street trading, scrap metal and animal related licences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Delivery of the functions of the Local Authority Licensing Service, which covers a wide range of Licensing Legislation
Providing advice and assistance to colleagues, stakeholders, members of the public and licence holders
Monitoring compliance with licence conditions, legislation and policies and intervening as necessary to achieve successful outcomes and ensure public safety
Ensuring the effective and timely management of licensing applications by accurately processing and recording information on the licensing database.
For the role, we ask that you have:
5 GCSEs Grades A*-C including English or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW)
The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Previous experience of an administrative, technical or enforcement nature
