We have an exciting opportunity to join our Primary Care Team as a Primary Care Clinical Lead at HMP Risley, a category C Prison located in Warrington. As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, you will be looking after 5 team leaders within the primary care settings, ideally looking for someone with Substance Misuse experience or who is willing to learn and develop skills within substance misuse.
HMP Risley is a male prison that has a population of 1000.

Hours:
The role is Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
Salary:
This position is full time, with an annual salary between £47,250-£53,077 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing:
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high-quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication, and competence.
* Coach, line manage, and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available), and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

What we'll look for in you:
* Registered Nurse - Adult • Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Substance Misuse experience - desirable but willing to learn
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
